People

  • Agent Chastity Clemenson: A NetWatch agent responsible for tracking down CRDNL. She attempted to blackmail Mr_Friend into handing the AI over. It didn’t work.

  • Alfie Barret: Another solo, who despite his friendly demeanor, has a nasty habit of showing up at The Rabbit’s gigs and one-upping her. She would love to kick his ass, but the opportunity has yet to present itself.

  • CRDNL (pronounced “Cardinal”): Short for “Cognating Recursive Datamesh Neual-lace”, CRDNL is a unique AI that lives in a self-contained mobile “sarcophagus”. Developed by Arasaka pre-war, it’s a hotly sought-after resource that brought the Crew no small amount of trouble while it was in their possession.

  • Curtis Lee Bycroft: A burnout and fellow netrunner who grew up with Mr_Friend. They came to Night City and lived together until Mr_Friend brought home a bomb without a head’s up. Curtis has since moved out, but it’s cool, they’re still chooms.

  • Dr. Alvin Dross: An elderly German scientist for Arasaka. He joined the Crew on their gig for Michiko, representing her interests. However, Alvin was a double-agent for Yorinobu sent to recover CRDNL and was also one of its architects. He’s eccentric, amoral, but oddly amicable.

  • Lishan Tachibana: A netrunner and old flame of Xer0’s. He’s still into her and she knows it. She’s been in a fair amount of trouble with some bad people and became a pawn in an intricate scheme to draw the Crew out, leveraging Xer0’s crush.

  • Letty Harlowe: An experienced fixer working Night City’s Midnight Markets. She’s been dating Mr_Friend for some time now and despite him being over 10 years her junior, they seem to make a good pair. She was kidnapped to compromise Mr_Friend and her safety is currently unknown.

  • Lynwood Han: A dangerous man aligned with Saburo Arasaka who wanted CRDNL. He kidnapped Letty to force Mr_Friend’s hand into helping, but the netrunner cut a deal with Lynwood’s nemesis Yorinobu Arasaka instead. He was killed by Yorinobu’s men.

  • Medusa Jones: The Crew’s primary fixer. She lost her previous edgerunners on a gig gone bad, which coincidentally led her to meet her new crew. She’s competent and sincere in her efforts to get the Crew paid.

  • Michiko Arasaka: Granddaughter of founder Saburo Araska, she started her own independent mercenary company, Danger Girl, to distance herself from the soiled Arasaka name. The Crew secretly double-crossed her on a gig.

  • Oslo Verdina: A corpo exec and criminal who is merely a frontman for Lynwood Han. He was a victim of the Crew’s first heist and was in possession of CRDNL before Mr_Friend swiped it.

  • Robert Skrein: Branton’s volatile and oddly repressed supervisor at Symbiot Tech. If he finds out about Branton’s amoral tactics and personal life, the young exec is as good as dead.

  • Ruth: Branton’s elderly secretary and hatchetman. She’s close to earning her pension and doesn’t want to hear any crap, but she’ll do whatever Branton needs doing. And she’ll do it right the first time.

  • Ryan “The Khan” Moore: A former business rival whose professional and personal life Branton utterly destroyed. He has since degenerated into the leader of a booster gang called the Santa Khan and used his army to frame Branton and exact revenge.

  • Saburo Arasaka: Founder of one of the most powerful megacorps in the world, Saburo is a ruthless and secretive businessman who treats his company like an empire.

  • Sarah Broadbeck: Cassandra’s upstream mentor in Children of the Dusk. She’s really been pushing Cassandra to fully commit to the program. Beyond attending more seminars, she’d really appreciate it if Cassandra could bring in more foot traffic for their branch. The apocalypse didn’t start itself, you know.

  • Trey: A booster who had one too many pieces of chrome installed. He went cyberpsycho during the Crew’s first run and started tearing apart Oslo’s nightclub yelling “Paper people!” until MaxTac arrived. He’s very dead but frequently referenced.

  • Vengis Wonderly: Owner of The Glasshouse.

  • Yorinobu Arasaka: The rebellious son of Saburo Arasaka, currently presumed dead. He hired the Crew to double-cross his niece, Michiko and masterminded events so that the Crew would be forced to relinquish CRDNL into his possession.
